Sigh.

Being on the phone with Microsoft Support in Austria really makes me want to wrap the phone cord around my neck. All I need is the freaking product key for Vista Beta 2! (The CD arrived yesterday in my MSDN subscription, by the by). If MSDN would just issue two subscriptions not just one I wouldn't have this problem!
I get put on hold for ages. "Press 1 if you're a Gold Certified Partner, Press 2 if you're a Certified Partner" (I'd be pressing 2 in my case). And the music is making my ears bleed… "Ain't no headlights in the road tonight"… yeah I don't doubt that, there won't be anybody within miles of you with a voice like yours. I never knew Microsoft's Support team in Austria was a fan of Atomic Kitten. Alternatively I could just drop off a visit there by myself, pick up my product key and visit the Partner program team, but thinking logically, not everybody would be able to do that. If they already don't print the product key on the CD, then at least make it easy to find on the website!
I have the slight feeling that if I were Gold Certified I'd get somebody more competent who could help me. I've searched the site for ages, found it, but MSDN won't issue me the product key. Calling Support was such a bad idea, it already took ages for her to input my partner ID. And then she finds the product key via a search tool that doesn't exsist. Do you see a corner that says "Search Operating Systems" in the LEFT hand corner? No? Really? ME NEITHER! MAYBE BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ONE. Just issue me a freaking product key. *wails*
I’m new.

So, I used to use WordPress but I gave it up after I distanced myself from my website and switched to LiveJournal. I’ve returned, due to my website, or lack thereof. MSN is having some wonderful downtime right now so I’m writing in here and trying to get my Microsoft Certified Partner starter kit (I should have requested it earlier but I was in the middle of a move). Anyway, that transaction is complete so hopefully in a week or two a wonderful plaque will arrive confirming my certification. T-minus 42*24 hours (= June 28th) until I will be flying to Boston to attend the Worldwide Microsoft Partner Conference. Bill Gates. Steven Ballmer. And I am apparently the youngest ever participant. And while I’m in Boston, I’ll get a chance to look at my dream future campus. M.I.T., and that’s hoping I even get in. Anyway, I’m off to finish reading Robots and Empire.
